It's WHO You Eat

I sat in a breakout session at a small business conference waiting for my turn to introduce myself and what I do. I was trying to simultaneously engage with the intros of the other women in the room AND rehearse my rusty *elevator pitch*. I thought I was doing that mutli-tasking just fine until the session speaker smiled and gestured at me and THIS came out of my mouth…

I’m Laura Moss and I own nourish, a coaching company where I help women heal their relationships with food and body and understand that it’s not what you eat, it’s WHO you eat.

Time screeched to an uncomfortable-pregnant-pause-halt, I choke-laughed, and tried again…

I help women understand that it’s not what you eat, it’s WHO you eat.

OMG.

I DID IT TWICE.

And then I DIED IN MY FRONT ROW SEAT.

(For the record, this is the hazard of being a Front Row Person...sometimes your brain falls right out of your head.)

Here’s the deal - and I want to set the record straight - IT’S NOT WHAT YOU EAT, IT’S WHO YOU ARE AS AN EATER that most impacts your relationship with food.

Okay.

There.

I feel so. much. better.

Mind if I explain that more fully?

Yes. WHAT you eat definitely matters.

It’s half of the nutrition equation.

But WHO you are as an eater is as - if not more - important.

It’s the other half.

In my work with clients, I use my skills as a Mind Body Nutrition Coach to help them explore how thoughts, feelings, and beliefs impact their nutritional metabolism and wellbeing. We focus on the fascinating connections between brain, body, and behavior.

Mind Body Nutrition reveals how stress physiology, the relaxation response, breathing, awareness, pleasure, meal timing, and much more profoundly influence digestion, calorie burning, and nutrient assimilation.

Have you ever asked yourself who you are as an eater? Have you ever wondered about how the way you show up at the table impacts your health? Are you happy with your relationship with food or are there pieces of it you wish were different?

Getting curious and allowing yourself to experiment with food and who you are as an eater are incredibly transformative skills to practice.

I’d love to work with you to explore your habits and behaviors - as well as any unwanted symptoms you may have. They are all doorways that lead to a deeper understanding and acceptance of your one bold, brave, and beautiful life.

Reach out to me here on my website (via the Work with Me or Contact sections) and we’ll get started moving toward the healing and health you deserve.

Till next time, be nourished.
